LOCAL NOTES:

Native to Southern Africa.

Originally planted as an ornamental plant it is now found in moist soils along roadsides, in coastal scrub, and on blocks in Sandy Point.

It flowers between winter and summer.

Arum lilies are poisonous. Gloves should be worn when removing them as they can be an irritant to skin. It may require repeated efforts to fully remove this plant as it has fleshy thick stalks which break easily when trying to remove the plant.
