LOCAL NOTES:

Plants can reach 1-2 m metres high if sheltered from coastal wind, but are often smaller at Shallow Inlet.

It has dense, succulent stems which are green or reddish and segmented.

It has rows of three flowers on a spike like flower head, July to December.
