One of the most popular beach activities each year is the Sandy Point Sandcastle Competition.
This summer’s competition will be Thursday 29 December.
Registration at 9:30am, starts at 10:00am, judging at 11.00am.
A Sausage Sizzle is also held at the start of the beach track for hungry sandcastle builders.
They’re off and running in the Sandy Point Sandcastle Competition 2022
The event is generally held twice every year, once during Easter school holidays and once during the Christmas school holidays, over 200 people, young and old, and many family groups participate in this friendly, happy competition. The competition is held on the main beach near the surf lifesaving club. Prizes are awarded for the best sandcastles.
Entry fees are only $1 per person. Prizes are sponsored by the Sandy Point Community Group (SPCG) and by local businesses.
