LOCAL NOTES:

Coast Sword-sedge is a common perennial sedge found throughout the Coastal Reserve and around the Sandy Point township.

It has a dense flower head in late spring and summer which turns brown and dries out after flowering.

The seed head can remain on the plant for a year or more.
