LOCAL NOTES:
Prostrate succulent perennial, spreading 1-2 metres.
Has cylindrical, shiny, green leaves sometimes tinged with yellow or red.
It has daisy like flowers, pink or magenta in colour with white centres.
Flowers October to February, and is widespread at Shallow Inlet in the saltmarsh area.
Flowers close at night and open again late morning.
The fruit is red to light brown in colour.
