Have Your Say: Sandy Point power

AusNet EDPR '26-'31 Proposal Summary for Sandy Point

AusNet recently released its Electricity Distribution Price Reset 2026-31 proposal and invite customer feedback and input.

The proposal is a costed work plan that AusNet must submit to the Australian Energy Regulator by January 2025 for review and approval. It forms the basis of how much money AusNet are authorised to recover through our electricity tariffs.

SPCP have been represented on several focus group panels during the development of the EDPR plan, and intend to make a submission in response to the draft proposal. As the AusNet proposal represents an attempt to balance service improvements against affordability, we'd love to hear from you the residents, homeowners, and visitors to Sandy Point to understand your views on what is proposed. Your responses will help form our submission.

If you'd like to see the full AusNet proposal, it can be reached by following this link Ausnet proposal and clicking the "Read" button on their website.

Given that the AusNet document is lengthy, we've compiled a brief summary of key aspects of the proposal (below) and indicated where they have greatest impact on Sandy Point.

In order to collect your feedback, we've created a very short survey which we would appreciate you completing. You can access the survey here. We would welcome your response before the 11th October.

Kind Regards

The Team
