LOCAL NOTES:
Dense mat-like shrub with blue green prickly leaves.
It has bright red tubular flowers which can be hard to see, and then pale green globular fruit more easily seen by lifting the mat like foliage.
It is an aboriginal food plant. The green fruits are edible.
Flowers May to September.
Location: Can be see along the edge of the track in open areas.
