LOCAL NOTES:

Long creeping perennial with soft, silvery, silky leaves.

Male flowers are a series of spikes and female flowers spherical up to 25 cm in diameter that break free from plant and roll away, blown by wind along the sand.

Flowers September to February.


Widespread across Shallow Inlet, sand spit and primary dune areas.
