LOCAL NOTES:

Has sharp pointed dark green leaves on stems.

Flowers are few, and small in clusters. Flowers December to March.

Sea Rush and others in the Juncus family are generally found in damp areas and those areas temporarily inundated with water and are tolerant of saltish conditions.

Sea Rush and Course Twine-rush are both present along the trail at Shallow Inlet and in the surrounding saltmarsh.
