LOCAL NOTES:
Widespread indigenous plant in Sandy Point township on blocks and beach access tracks.
This plant can grow to a large shrub and scramble among others, covering other vegetation.
It can be clipped back and hedged successfully.
Its grey foliage makes it an attractive plant with small sprays of tiny flowers in September to December, followed by the developing red berries in Autumn, which are bitter if eaten. The red fruits are eaten by birds and spread.
