LOCAL NOTES:

Widespread in Sandy Point on beach access tracks and Shallow Inlet Waratah Bay Reserve. Can be seen on some blocks that have remnant coastal vegetation.

Grows in shady positions in moist well drained soil. It has attractive large leaves. The plant often dies back after summer. Perennial root stock reshoots in Spring with bright green leaves.

It has very attractive bright white flowers October to February turning into a berry like fruit which can be eaten.

Can be grown in moist shady sites in coastal gardens.
